Celebrating 60 years of
dance!
Located in Townsville, North Queensland
and nestled beside the magnificent Castle Hill the
Ann Roberts School of Dancing has been teaching dance since 1957.
In a caring and supportive environment our students can learn the art of classical ballet,
tap, character, modern, jazz, contemporary, highland dance, song and dance, creative
movement, and fitness.
Four fully air-conditioned studios
with sprung floors and tarkett at the main studios in Fletcher Street and at Boundary Street.
Five suburban studios at Railway Estate, Wulguru, Heatley, Riverside and PCYC Aitkenvale.
All ages are catered for from 3 years
through to adults. The school prepares students for Royal Academy of
Dance (RAD) Ballet and Australian Dance Association (ADA) Jazz and Tap exams, Highland competitions, eisteddfod
and concert performances. The school produces its own annual recital at the
Townsville Civic Theatre. Students learn to appreciate the pure joy of
movement, to perform, to strive for excellence and may even make a
career in dance.
Under the direction of Jane Pirani,
daughter of founder Ann Roberts, and Jane's husband, Andre Reynaud, the school
continues to carve out its outstanding reputation of achieving
excellence through the enjoyment of dance.
